Last week we had the District sport awards, held at the Memorial Centre here in Matamata. We had a number of nominated students over the Categories. The night was a great success and Matamata College had a real presence in the awards. It was a night where the room felt electric with talent young and old. We were also treated to a speech from Camille Buscomb who has been waiting to go to the Olympics since she was 5! She had some really incredible tips and lessons about how to reach your goal that was truly inspiring to all the athletes in the room.
